I worked as a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Ohio from 2008 to 2021; moved back home to Grand Rapids, Michigan in January 2021 after being gone for 22 years. I am also PNMT certified; a Precision Neuromuscular Therapist.

To get here, I had to complete an 18-month program at the COMTA certified Cincinnati School of Medical Massage. I graduated from there in 2007, earned my LMT licensure after passing the State of Ohio Medical Board’s exam in January 2008, and started my private practice on February 1, 2008.

Due to being passionate about helping people the way I was helped via Precision Neuromuscular Therapy, I chose to complete the following PNMT seminars. In addition to, the required written and practical exams, and research project. I became PNMT certified in 2010.

To further my knowledge, I completed an Advanced Soft Tissue Therapy for TMJ Pain and Dysfunction seminar, which allows me to treat TMJ Dysfunction intraorally as well as externally. (On a side note, I will need a prescription from your doctor or dentist to perform intra-oral work if you have ever been diagnosed with TMD.) Also, a Precision Neural Mobilization seminar, a distance education course on Whiplash, and for clients who have or have had cancer, the Cancer and Massage Therapy: Essential Contraindications Part I and Cancer and Massage Therapy: Treatments Part II courses.

Furthermore, I was led to expand my private practice by adding grief recovery and biblical counseling services, which means I can now help people with not only physical, but emotional and mental pain. It is such a blessing to be equipped to help in all areas of pain! That being said, I received my Advanced Diploma in Biblical Counseling from the Light University in 2018 and became an Advance Grief Recovery Method Specialist in 2021.
